Product Specialist – SCADA Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Product Specialist to provide technical leadership across our RTU, SCADA and Data Acquisition portfolio and become a trusted advisor to our customers.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a technically capable professional who enjoys combining engineering expertise with customer engagement. Working closely with utility customers, consultants, engineers and internal stakeholders, you will support the full customer lifecycle—from solution design and technical consultation through to implementation, commissioning and ongoing support.

As the technical face, you'll build trusted relationships, influence key decision-makers and ensure customers receive solutions that meet both technical requirements and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for RTU, SCADA and Data Acquisition solutions.
• Support customers with technical advice and solution recommendations.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and workshops.
• Assist with solution design, specification and implementation activities.
• Support commissioning and configuration of RTU, gateway and SCADA systems.
• Provide guidance on communications, networking and cybersecurity requirements.
• Work alongside commercial teams to support customer opportunities.
• Develop long-term relationships built on technical credibility and trust.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry standards and best practice.

About You

You are an experienced engineering or technical professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and working directly with customers.

Ideally you will have:

• An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years' experience within the power utility, electrical infrastructure or industrial automation sector.
• Experience working with real-time systems and operational technologies.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Technical knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable:

• SCADA or related architectures
• RTU and gateway technologies
• Data acquisition and telemetry systems
• Monitoring and data logging solutions
• DNP3, GOOSE and other utility communication protocols
• IEC61850, ICCP and cybersecurity principles
• Device configuration and commissioning
• IP networking and communications infrastructure
