Job summary

Obex Medical, part of the Bunzl Group, is hiring a Product Specialist for the Urology & Women's Health team. Based in Christchurch or Wellington, you will own your territory, balance autonomy with team connection, and drive sustainable growth across the Southern region.

We value clinical understanding, strong relationship-building, and the ability to translate complex procedures into practical customer outcomes. A clinical background or medical device sales experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in medical devices, pharma, or relevant clinical practice.
• Ability to understand complex medical procedures and translate technical knowledge.
• Understanding NZ hospital systems, procurement, and regulatory processes.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence.
• NZ residency or eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory plans to exceed sales targets.
• Build strong relationships with specialists, charge nurses and procurement teams.
• Provide clinical/procedural case support using your technical expertise.
• Identify new business opportunities and confidently close sales.
• Work autonomously while collaborating closely with a high‑performing national team.

About the role

Based in Christchurch or Wellington this is a rare opportunity to step into a high impact role, where your clinical understanding and relationship building skills will directly shape outcomes for customers and patients across the Southern region.

We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting Product Specialist to join our Urology & Women's Health team, reporting to the Business Manager. You will take full ownership of your territory, balancing autonomy with strong team connection, and play a meaningful role in driving sustainable growth.
