Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Product Owner for AI Solutions to lead the delivery of AI-powered products that create meaningful outcomes for customers and the business. You will work with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to turn ideas into reality, influence strategic priorities, and deliver customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Owner or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing and prioritising product backlogs with customer, business, risk and tech priorities.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills and ability to translate needs into clear requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a 6–12 month roadmap for AI products and experiences.
• Lead delivery against roadmaps and business outcomes.
• Prioritise work and maintain a healthy backlog for value-driven delivery.
• Drive discovery activities, hypothesis development and validation for direction and investment decisions.
• Champion customer needs and ensure measurable value for customers and ASB.
• Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders to align priorities.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, compliance requirements and operational controls.
• Contribute to the Product Owner community through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

As a Product Owner - AI Solutions,you'llbe responsible fordefining and delivering outcomes that maximise customer value and business impact.You'llbuild and manage a clear roadmap, prioritise opportunities, and lead delivery through cross-functional squads to ensure successful outcomes.

Working closely with stakeholders across ASB,you'llbalance customer needs, business priorities, technologyrequirementsand risk considerations to drive effective decision-making and delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

You'llbe a collaborative and commercially minded Product Owner who thrives on turning ideas into outcomes.You'llbe equally comfortable engaging with senior business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, bringing clarity to complex problems and helping shape AI solutions that deliver real customer and business value.

You'llbring:

• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar product leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing and prioritising product backlogs, balancing customer, business,riskand technology priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and user stories.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments alongside engineers, datapractitionersand cross-functional teams.
• Strong critical thinking,problem-solvingand decision-making capabilities, including making effective trade-off decisions in complex environments.
• An understanding of data, analytics, AI or digital products and services.
• Experience managing delivery risks, compliancerequirementsand operational performance.
• A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering measurable outcomes.
• A commitment to continuous learning and helping grow capability in others.
• Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry or similar AI and data platforms would be highlyadvantageous.
