Job summary

Motion Asia Pacific is seeking a commercially minded and technically capable Product Manager - Industrial Bearings to lead the growth and performance of our bearings category across New Zealand.

You will work with sales, supply chain, marketing and key suppliers to deliver practical, customer-focused solutions while developing category plans to increase market share and margin.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of industrial bearings or rotating equipment.
• Experience in product management or related commercial roles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category plans to grow sales, margin and market share.
• Provide technical product, application and troubleshooting support to internal teams and customers.
• Manage product ranging, lifecycle activity and opportunities for new or improved products.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and customers.
• Support pricing, promotions, merchandising and sales development initiatives.
• Deliver product training and technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to sales forecasting, inventory optimisation and S&OP planning.

We are seeking a commercially minded and technically capable Product Manager - Industrial Bearings to lead the growth and performance of our bearings category across New Zealand.

This is an opportunity to use your industry knowledge to shape product range, support customers and sales teams, build supplier relationships, and identify opportunities to grow market share.

You will work closely with sales, supply chain, marketing and key suppliers to deliver practical, customer-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category plans to grow sales, margin and market share.
• Provide technical product, application and troubleshooting support to internal sales teams and customers.
• Manage product ranging, product lifecycle activity and opportunities for new or improved product offerings.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key suppliers and customers.
• Support pricing, promotional, merchandising and sales-development initiatives.
• Deliver product training and technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to sales forecasting, inventory optimisation and S&OP planning.

About you

You will bring:

• Demonstrated technical knowledge of industrial bearings, rotating equipment or a related industrial product category.
• Experience in product management, technical sales, category management or a similar commercial role.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate customer needs into practical product solutions.
• Confidence building relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel as required.
