Job summary

FreshChoice Te Anau is seeking a Produce Assistant to join our team and help keep our fruit and vegetable department looking its best. You'll be hands-on with fresh produce, helping to prepare, present, and maintain displays that our customers will love.

This is a full-time role with varied shifts, and all training is provided. You’ll be lifting and handling product, so you need to be physically fit and able to work on your feet.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy produce.
• Attention to detail to ensure freshness and appealing displays.
• Full-time availability with varied shifts and willingness to train.
• Right to work in NZ is required.

Responsibilities

• Filling shelves and keeping displays full, fresh, and appealing.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure top standards.
• Processing incoming stock.
• Assisting with product prep (e.g. halving pumpkins, making fruit salad).
• Cleaning and keeping the shop and preparation area organised.

As the role involves lifting and handling product, you’ll need to be physically fit and able to work on your feet. An eye for detail is also essential — presentation and freshness matter here!
