Job summary

ETEL Ltd. in West Auckland seeks a motivated Procurement Officer to join our team and support production through buying, supplier management and inventory planning.

This role is ideal for someone early in their procurement or supply chain career, eager to learn, develop commercial skills, and contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. You'll work with our Procurement Lead and broader teams to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and production

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Confidence working with systems, data and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders to support production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and help ensure materials are available when needed.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve supply issues.
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support sourcing activities, supplier evaluations and tender processes.
• Analyse procurement and supplier data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier information.
• Assist with forecasting, reporting and procurement planning activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.
