Job summary

New Zealand Post Group is seeking a Processing Officer to support early morning parcel sorting and dispatch at our Whakatane branch. You will work as part of a lively, safety-focused team, lifting up to 25 kg and contributing to efficient courier handoffs.

This fixed-term role runs until 12 February 2027, with shifts that vary by week. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Energetic team player with the ability to work early morning shifts.
• Willingness to lift up to 25 kg and stay physically active.
• Good awareness of local geography to support sorting at the branch.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at the Whakatane branch.
• Support couriers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced processing environment.

• Tuesday to Saturday 3:30am-8:30am
• Fixed Term until 12th February 2027

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Whakatane branch, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.
