Job summary

PepsiCo's Bluebird Foods in New Zealand is seeking a reliable Process Operator for the Weekend Night Shift at Wiri. You will operate automated cooking and packaging machinery, input data into systems, and perform quality checks.

Training is provided during the week prior to moving to the weekend shift, with shifts on Friday night and Saturday/Sunday nights. Full-time permanent role with health and safety priorities, on-site work, and opportunities for career progression within PepsiCo’s

Qualifications

• Experience in Processing/ Food Manufacturing/ Industrial Kitchen environments.
• Understanding of HACCP and GMP with reliable safety practices.
• High mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work as part of a Food Production team and contribute to Food Safety targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Run heavily robotic packaging machinery for chips into packets and boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate data into computerised systems.
• Conduct flavour testing and ensure correct flavour for product runs.
• Perform quality checks and manage materials and waste.

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused Process Operator to join our high-performing team in Wiri on Weekend Night Shift. These roles operate our heavily automated machinery.

Please note mandatory training is required for the position and is completed during the week for approx 6 months prior to moving to the Weekend Shift. Training is available across our Day/Afternoon or Night Shifts. All applications must have full-time legal work rights in NZ.

• Location: Wiri
• Roster Shifts - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: Friday - 11 pm to 3am, Saturday and Sunday - 7 pm to 7am
• Position: Permanent Full Time
• Selection Process: Interview - Assessment - Background/Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision

Responsibilities

• Operating industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Operating the heavily robotic machinery that packages our chips into packets, and also into boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate data into computerised systems.
• Ensureflavour testing is completedeffectively, and accurate flavour is supplied in accordance with product runs.
• Complete quality checks as required, with management of materials and waste.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Processing/ Food Manufacturing/ Industrial Kitchen/ Cooking Environment.
• An understanding of HACCPand GMP with a record of reliability andsafe work practices.
• A high mechanical aptitude withstrong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Work as part of an efficient Food Production Team
• Actively contribute to Food Safety targets within the team
• Keen to develop a successful career in Food Manufacturing at Bluebird
