Job summary

Bluebird Foods Ltd, part of PepsiCo, seeks a reliable Process Operator for our Wiri site. You will operate heavily automated cooking and packaging machinery, ensuring data accuracy and product flavour integrity across packaging runs.

This permanent full-time role requires HACCP and GMP awareness, a strong mechanical aptitude, and commitment to food safety. Mon-Fri 7:00–14:00 with opportunities for career growth and onsite facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Processing/ Food Manufacturing/ Industrial Kitchen/ Cooking Environment.
• HACCP and GMP understanding with reliable, safe work practices.
• High mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Team player contributing to a productive Food Production Team.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Operate robotic packaging machinery for chips; package into packets and boxes.
• Record, report and input data into computerised systems.
• Ensure flavour testing is completed accurately and flavour matches product runs.
• Complete quality checks and manage materials and waste as required.

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused Process Operator to join our high-performing team in Wiri. These roles operate our heavily automated machinery. All applications must have full time legal work rights in NZ.

• Roster Shifts: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7.00am - 2.00pm
• Position: Permanent Full Time
• Selection Process: Interview - Assessment - Background/Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision

Responsibilities

• Operating industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Operating the heavily robotic machinery that packages our chips into packets, and also into boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate data into computerised systems.
• Ensure flavour testing is completed effectively, and accurate flavour is supplied in accordance with product runs.
• Complete quality checks as required, with management of materials and waste.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Processing/ Food Manufacturing/ Industrial Kitchen/ Cooking Environment.
• An understanding of HACCP and GMP with a record of reliability and safe work practices.
• A high mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Work as part of an efficient Food Production Team
• Actively contribute to Food Safety targets within the team
• Keen to develop a successful career in Food Manufacturing at Bluebird
