Job summary

Oceania Dairy Limited in Glenavy, South Canterbury invites applications for a production operator role spanning packing and processing tasks. You will set up and shut down processes, monitor plant activities and conduct sampling and testing to ensure product quality.

You will maintain accurate records, enter data, update logbooks and help prioritise work streams while supporting continuous improvement and adherence to safety and food quality standards.

Job description

This role involves a variety of tasks across both packing and processing areas, including setting up and shutting down processes, conducting sampling and testing, packing and storing products, and operating computer systems to monitor plant activities. You will be responsible for adjusting equipment as needed to maintain optimal performance and will play a key role in maintaining accurate records and reports. This includes data entry, updating logbooks, identifying and documenting any issues, and supporting the prioritisation of work streams. You will also assist in the implementation and maintenance of operational systems and procedures to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
