Job summary

AWF New Zealand is hiring for a production operator in Balclutha, Otago. The role involves lifting heavy milk powder into hoppers and working on a busy production line with sampling, testing and data entry. You will follow strict health, safety and quality standards on site.

The position operates a rotating 4-on/4-off roster with 12-hour shifts from early morning to early evening, and requires an F endorsement and OSH certificate plus a background in food production or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must Hold a current F endorsement and OSH certificate.
• Previous experience in manufacturing (food production preferred).
• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and quality standards.

Job description

What You'll Be Doing:

• Regularly Lifting and tipping heavy (20kg+) milk powder into large hoppers as part of the production process
• Operating on a busy production line, sample testing, quality assurance and data entry
• Following Health and Safety, hygiene procedures and maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.
• Working a rotating 4-on / 4-off shift (2 days, 2 nights), 12-hour shifts from 5:45am-6:00pm / PM-AM

What You Need:

• A valid F endorsement and OSH certificate is required
• Previous experience in manufacturing (food production preferred)
• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and quality standards
• A team-focused attitude and ability to perform under pressure
• Basic computer skills
