Position Summary
The Senior Associate / Associate Director will be an integral member of the origination team, contributing across the entire transaction lifecycle, from initial deal sourcing and screening to credit analysis, structuring, and execution. The role also encompasses active portfolio management and regular engagement with key borrower stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Advanced credit analysis, financial modelling, and valuation skills, with proven capability in complex cash flow forecasting and capital structure evaluation.
- Solid track record in corporate finance, private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking, including hands-on experience with deal structuring and legal documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear, high-quality investment memos and interface confidently with management teams and co-investors.
- Exceptional organisational capabilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing transaction workflows under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative approach to working within a lean team structure.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting, or business.
- Prior exposure to a mid-market lending environment, including a strong understanding of commercial debt practices and regulatory frameworks.
- The right to live and work in New Zealand. This role may suit a New Zealander with experience in major international financial centres looking to return home.
