Job summary

MCC Label in Auckland, NZ, is seeking a finishing machine operator to join a supportive team. You will work 2:15 pm – 12:15 am, Monday to Thursday, handling setup, operation and quality checks to meet targets.

This role offers onsite parking, shift allowances, and opportunities for career development within our global label business. Training provided; no prior experience required beyond a mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and able to set up finishing machinery.
• Experience in manufacturing environment; training provided.
• Basic computer skills to record data.
• Ability to distinguish all colours and perform manual handling.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks and eligible to work in NZ.
• No motion sickness; reliable and safety‑minded.

Responsibilities

• Set up the finishing machine (loading print rolls, feeding material, adjusting blades).
• Record basic machine operation data on a PC.
• Monitor and maintain the finishing machine with a safety focus.
• Ensure high-quality standards and maintain quality assurance.
• Demonstrate dedication to exceptional customer service.

About the Role

In this role, you will work 2:15 pm – 12:15 am, Monday to Thursday, utilising a finishing machine to process and quality-inspect printed labels to meet customer targets and timeframes. You will join an established, supportive team that is key to the success of our print professionals. Duties include:

• Setting up the machine (loading print rolls, feeding material, adjusting blades and slicers).
• Recording basic machine operation data using a PC.
• Monitoring and maintaining the finishing machine with a strong focus on safety.
• Ensuring high-quality standards and maintaining quality assurance.
• Demonstrating dedication to exceptional customer service.

About You

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within labels (preferred but not essential - full training provided).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to distinguish all colours.
• Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks.
• Does not suffer from motion sickness.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
