Ōuruhia Model School is a unique semi-rural community, only 10 mins from Christchurch City Centre.
Small class sizes allow us to focus truly on ‘quality teaching and learning’. You will know all of our tamariki (approx. 18 students) in our 'neat wee school' and their whānau. Did I mention that we have a school pool!
We are looking for an experienced and a collaborative NZ registered teacher | kaiako. Ideally, you are a kaiako with multilevel teaching experience and or have worked with ākonga within the Year 5 to 8.
The role is from 2027, working closely with a new team and you will hold the principal release position. This role is very unique. We have an opportunity for someone who is super excited about working collaboratively to build a small team of kaiako (currently, a 2-classroom school). The majority of the role will be in the senior school, Year 5-8 with approx. 10 delightful tamariki.
Are you also a teacher who has carried out some Structured Literacy training and would be keen as part of your role to look at some small group teaching; tier 2/3? Does this sound like you? Are you someone who likes variety? Are you still interested?
The successful applicant will be positive and motivated to be part of a small team, be prepared to work with and understand the needs working in a multi-level classroom.
Are you our new team member?
