Westpac New Zealand Ltd seeks a Principal Engineer to shape the architecture of its enterprise platform across Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Azure. This senior role combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery, guiding Agile squads and mentoring engineers to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will set technical direction, drive modernization, ensure robust security, and partner with design, product, and business teams to translate strategy into reliable systems.

• Proven leadership of engineering teams focused on architecture and growth.
• Define enterprise architecture with scalable, secure platforms.
• Own full lifecycle from planning to delivery with reliability in mind.
• Mentor engineers, foster transparency, and build cross‑team collaboration.
• Drive modernization, DevOps, and professional development across squads.

Responsabilités

• Lead solution design and drive engineering best practices.
• Set architectural patterns and ensure secure, compliant implementations.
• Oversee delivery of enterprise applications across Power Platform, D365, and Azure.
• Champion code quality with rigorous reviews and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with design, QA, product, and leadership to align on priorities.
