Egis in ANZ seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our NZ team, with a role flexible across Wellington, Christchurch, or Auckland. You will lead electrical network design for transmission and distribution, drive master planning, feasibility studies, and business cases, while mentoring engineers and driving growth for the NZ Energy offering.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Washington Accord mandatory).
• Chartered Status (CPEng, RPEQ or equivalent).
• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering for energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design of electrical networks (transmission or distribution).
• Support substation development, asset upgrades, and connections for distributed generation.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Revit models for substations and building services.
• Lead project scoping, estimating, and contribute to project management delivery.
• Collaborate with a large Australian team and internal stakeholders to deliver quality work.
