SLR Consulting in New Zealand is seeking a Principal ecologist to lead and deliver major ecology projects in the renewables sector, building strong client relationships and guiding offers of service. You will mentor junior ecologists, coordinate fieldwork, and provide high-quality reports while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to secure and execute large opportunities.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Ecology & Marine team due to an increase in project pipeline across the renewables space. This is a Principal level role with key focuses being on developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and leading and preparing offers of service for large ecology opportunities. The role also involves developing and coaching other ecologists in the team and requires technical excellence to ensure our team delivers high quality work to our clients. We are looking for the right person for this role, so we are open to this role being based in any of our offices throughout Aotearoa.
