Job summary

Solway School in Masterton invites an experienced primary teacher for 2027. The role covers Years 1–8 and a broad curriculum including English, mathematics, science, and te reo Māori. Strong literacy and numeracy knowledge will be highly valued.

Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, New Zealand teacher registration with a current practising certificate. Recent NZ teaching experience is preferred and commitment to student learning is expected.

Qualifications

• Registration with New Zealand teacher registration and current practising certificate required.
• Recent successful teaching experience in New Zealand.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and strengths in literacy and/or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary students across Years 1–8 in English, health and physical education, learning languages, mathematics and statistics, science, social sciences, technology, te reo Māori and the arts.
