Job summary

Nightworks Studio, a premium lighting design studio based in central Christchurch, is seeking a proactive Production Assistant to join our production and design facility. You will be hands-on across the process, assembling and finishing luxury lighting products with close attention to detail.

We value reliability, problem solving and a willingness to learn; experience in a similar role is ideal, and training will be provided).

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on role.
• Reliable, punctual and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Experience in a similar role preferred; training will be provided.
• Machining workshop / electrical experience preferred.
• Clean, full NZ driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and finish luxury lighting products.
• Sand, solder and hand-finish brass components within set time-frames.
• Quality control of finished products.
• Light use of machinery and tools in production.
• Liaise with local suppliers as required.
• Collect items from local suppliers using the company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Pack and dispatch customer orders.
