Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Auckland looks for Practicing Licensed Electricians to support nationwide projects delivering New Zealand’s critical infrastructure.

You will read design docs and perform installation of containment, cabling, switchboards, and commissioning on large-scale construction sites. A NZ Electrical Registration and Practising Licence are essential, along with a NZ Driver’s Licence and team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• NZ Electrical Registration and current Practising Licence.
• NZ Driver's Licence.
• Experience as an electrician within large, complex construction projects.
• Self-motivated and enjoys being in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement the design documentation.
• Carry out new work on the project, including installation of containment, cabling, termination fittings, reticulation, switchboards, and commissioning.
• Ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard, compliant, safe and efficient operation, taking into account the financial goals of the projects.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with trades staff, contractors and clients.
• Be a team player, with great time management and communication skills.
• Ensuring a high level of health and safety for all staff and contracts.
