Job summary

Avanade in Auckland is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer (Team Lead / Consultant level) to deliver Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse solutions for enterprise clients in New Zealand.

Based in Auckland, you will contribute to delivery within an experienced programme team, participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor colleagues while driving quality and value for customers.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience in Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365 development
• Experience leading teams or projects is a plus
• Strong focus on Microsoft technologies and quality delivery

Responsibilities

• Develop Power Apps solutions (Canvas and Model-Driven) based on functional specifications and design artefacts
• Build Power Automate flows to automate business processes and integrate systems
• Configure and customise Dataverse environments including entities, forms, views and security roles
• Develop and test integrations between Power Platform and Dynamics 365, M365 and Azure services
• Apply ALM practices for Power Platform using Azure DevOps and environment management
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
• Support testing activities including unit testing and defect resolution
• Contribute to technical documentation and handover materials
• Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, architects and client teams

• You are a capable Power Platform developer with solid hands‑on development experience


• You bring enthusiasm for Microsoft technology and a commitment to quality delivery


• You work well within a team and are keen to grow your consulting and technical skills


• You likely have 3-5 years of professional experience in Power Platform or Dynamics 365 development

Technical skills & experience

• Experience developing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps in Power Apps


• Solid skills in Power Automate including cloud flows and custom connectors


• Knowledge of Dataverse configuration, data modelling and security


• Familiarity with Power Pages and portal development


• Understanding of integrating Power Platform with external systems via APIs


• Experience with Azure DevOps for solution management and deployments

Preferred certifications

• PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals


• PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer (desirable)

Preferred years of experience
