Job summary

Fusion5 is expanding its Microsoft practice in New Zealand. We are seeking a hands-on Technical Consultant to design, build and deliver Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions.

You will work with Dataverse, Canvas Apps, Power Pages and Power Automate on customer projects, collaborating with senior teams to ensure practical, high-quality outcomes. You will contribute to technical designs, data models and deployment practices, while exploring AI-driven improvements and responsible tool usage

About you

You're a hands-on technical consultant who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly, and taking ownership of your work from design through to delivery. You communicate clearly with customers and project teams, ask good questions, and stay calm when things are unclear or changing. You're curious about how AI can improve delivery, productivity and customer outcomes, and you're keen to keep growing your skills in a supportive but high-performing environment.

We're looking for a strong player who can:

• Develop and integrate Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions
• Contribute to clear technical designs, specifications and data models
• Build, test and deploy quality business solutions
• Work closely with senior consultants and delivery teams on larger projects
• Communicate confidently with customers and take ownership when challenges arise

The successful candidate will have some of the following:

• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Dataverse customisations, plugin assemblies and web resources
• Practical experience across the Power Platform, including Canvas Apps, Power Pages and Power Automate
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, Function Apps, Logic Apps and Service Bus
• Experience with .NET, C#, SQL and web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
• An understanding of unit testing, solution deployment practices and agile delivery
• Ability to investigate application issues, understand root causes and help put the right fixes in place
• Clear documentation skills, including technical specifications and supporting design notes
• Curiosity about using AI tools responsibly to improve analysis, build quality, testing and delivery efficiency
• A delivery mindset focused on customer value, quality outcomes and continuous improvement
