Raukura Hauora o Tainui is seeking a Pou Ora (Health Improvement Practitioner) to join our Whānau Pai team, delivering brief, evidence-based interventions to support mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing within primary care. This role works with individuals, whānau and communities to empower positive change.

Qualifications

  • Registration with a recognised professional body and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Experience working in mental health, behavioural health or wellbeing settings.
  • The ability to engage effectively with Māori, whānau, rangatahi and diverse communities.
  • Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of Te Ao Māori and a commitment to culturally safe practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions focused on mental health, behavioural health and wellbeing.
  • Support individuals and whānau to identify goals and make positive, sustainable changes.

Raukura Hauora o Tainui is seeking a Pou Ora (Health Improvement Practitioner) to join our Whānau Pai team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within primary care, providing brief, evidence-based interventions that support the mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing of individuals, whānau and communities.

Every day is different. One moment you may be supporting someone experiencing anxiety, stress or life challenges. The next, you'll be helping a whānau navigate barriers to wellbeing, empowering them to take positive steps towards achieving their goals.

As a Pou Ora, you'll be embedded within a primary care setting, working alongside GPs, nurses, Health Coaches, Kaiārahi Tautoko and other health professionals to provide accessible behavioural health support to patients of all ages.

You will:
