Job summary

Tui Ora in New Plymouth, New Zealand, is hiring a Co-Existing Problems Clinician to assess, treat and support adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. You will work in a community-based, whānau-centred model alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver recovery-focused care.

Qualifications

• Relevant clinical qualification and current APC and/or registration under the HPCA Act 2003.
• Experience working with adults experiencing co-existing mental health and addiction challenges.
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and keyworker skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary and interagency teams.
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori, tikanga Māori, and whānau-centred practice.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.

As a Co-Existing Problems Clinician, you will provide specialist assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused support for adult Whānau Whaiora experiencing both mental health and alcohol and/or other drug challenges.

Working within a community-based setting, you'll deliver integrated, culturally responsive care and work alongside whānau, multidisciplinary teams, and community partners to achieve positive Whānau Ora outcomes.

• A relevant clinical qualification and current APC and/or registration under the HPCA Act 2003
• Experience working with adults experiencing co-existing mental health and addiction challenges
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and keyworker skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary and interagency teams
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, clinical standards, and evidence-based practice
• An understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga Māori, and whānau-centred practice
• Strong communication, organisational, and relationship management skills
• Confidence using client management systems and digital technologies
• A full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence.
