Job summary

Qube Ports NZ is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator at Bluff Port to promote excellence in safety performance and injury prevention. You will support operational teams, coordinate hazard identifications, and drive continuous improvement across sites.

The role requires a Diploma or National Certificate in Health & Safety, strong communication skills, and comfort working across shifts and sites. Pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Health & Safety with a recognised Diploma or National Certificate.
• Demonstrated communication, planning and analytical abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and incident management systems.
• Shows initiative, self-management and commitment to improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support operational teams in implementing Qube’s Safety, Health & Sustainability System.
• Coordinate hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Maintain incident database and ensure accurate reporting (INX usage).
• Assist with audits and compliance requirements across sites.
• Produce safety bulletins and communications for staff.
• Monitor site safety practices across NZ operations.
