Job summary

Ferry Holdings Ltd (FHL) in Wellington seeks a senior Engineering Integration Manager to drive whole‑of‑system coordination for port infrastructure developments, vessels, rail interfaces and operational handover.

You will lead integration across partners including KiwiRail and shipyards, ensuring interfaces are understood, risks are visible and requirements met, while guiding evidence‑based acceptance into service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) – essential.
• 10+ years’ experience delivering large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience across transport, maritime or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Background across consultancies and Tier 1 construction organisations.
• Proven experience coordinating complex engineering interfaces and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead programme-wide engineering integration requirements, processes and information standards.
• Maintain visibility of engineering risks, dependencies and Entry into Service constraints.
• Provide whole-of-system oversight across marine, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and operational interfaces.
• Define and govern interface ownership, evidence requirements, escalation routes and closure criteria.
• Coordinate information dependencies, technical decisions and interface closure across multiple delivery partners.
• Lead programme-level engineering change and configuration management from design through handover.
• Support engineering governance, V&V frameworks, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Prepare monthly engineering integration dashboards and enable timely handover to operations.
