Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking a Platform Architect (Principal Engineer) to provide architecture and technical leadership across our Salesforce and nCino platform. This permanent, full-time role is based in Auckland or Wellington with a hybrid working model.

You will guide technical strategy, mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and align solutions with business goals while delivering secure, scalable banking experiences for thousands of colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical direction across teams and platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce and nCino architectures and practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and uplift capability across the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across teams and value streams; guide architecture and platform design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical decisions with programme objectives.
• Lead resolution of complex technical and platform challenges using systems thinking.
• Set engineering standards for reliability, security, observability and quality.
• Mentor Engineering Leads and senior engineers to foster technical excellence.
