Acron Plastics is looking for a reliable, physically fit and mechanically minded Production & Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on factory role primarily involving vacuum-forming machinery and plastics production, along with finishing and general factory duties. You will also assist with other machinery, including CNC production, when required.
Previous vacuum-forming experience is not essential — training will be provided.
Loading and handling plastic sheets, tools and finished products
Setting up tooling and materials
Trimming, drilling and finishing plastic components
Assisting with CNC production when required
Regular manual handling and heavy lifting
Cleaning machinery, tools and production areas
Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Packing finished products and general factory duties
Is mechanically minded, practical and hands-on
Is physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy/manual work
Has experience with machinery, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or a similar hands-on environment
Can confidently use basic hand and power tools
Learns quickly and can follow instructions accurately
Is reliable, punctual and has a good work ethic
Is willing to help wherever required within a small manufacturing team
Takes pride in keeping machinery and the workplace clean and organised
Has a forklift license or forklift experience — preferred but not essential
This position offers full-time hours from the start, initially on a casual basis for approximately three months. There is an opportunity to move into permanent full-time employment depending on performance, skill level and suitability for the role.
