Job summary

Ravensdown, a New Zealand co-operative, is seeking a hands-on manufacturing plant operator in Hawke's Bay. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of the production line to meet planned outputs and maintain quality across shifts.

You'll work in a team, be physically fit and mechanically minded, and comfortable with conveyor belts and machinery. Training is provided, and a supportive rural-island farming community is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically minded and safety conscious.
• Willing to work alternating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Have a valid full driver’s license.
• Confined space experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the manufacturing plant to meet production targets safely.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, efficient workflows.

About the role

As a key member of our manufacturing team,you'llensure the safe, effective operation of the manufacture plant to achieve planned production levels. By keepingthe manufacturing plantrunning atoptimumlevels - and safely -we'rebest placed to help our farmers/shareholders, andyou'rebest placed for a rewarding job with great scope for growth.

About you:

Given the work environment and nature of the role,it’sessentialyou’rephysically fit, mechanically mindedand safety conscious. Ideally,you’llbe comfortablearound running conveyor belts and machinery, but if not, we can provide the training to get you there if you have a positive, can-do attitude. To be successful in the role, you will ideally:

• Be flexible in your ability to work alternating shift patterns, including nights and weekends
• Havemanufacturing or process plant experience
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Be physically fit
• Be mechanically minded
• Good communicationskills
• Have a reasonable level of computer literacy
• Fulldriver’slicense
• Confined space (desirable)
