Job summary

New World Papakura is hiring two Online Personal Shoppers. You will pick, pack and prepare customer orders for delivery or collection, ensuring quality, accuracy and on-time arrival. You may also perform deliveries, acting as the face of New World Papakura on the road.

Role involves fast-paced coordination, strong attention to detail, and maintaining food safety/hygiene standards while delivering excellent customer service at every doorstep.

Qualifications

• Experience in picking and packing customer orders.
• Retail or customer service experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Physically fit and comfortable on your feet all day.
• Full NZ Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and quickly.
• Manage substitutions and communicate with customers when needed.
• Label, check, monitor temperature, and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
• Load and unload orders while maintaining product quality.
• Follow delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct ID checks for restricted products when required.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support a fast-paced online operation and training.

ROLE 1 - Tuesday to Saturday 11am - 8.30pm - Full Time

Role 2 - Sunday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.30pm - Part Time

ABOUT US

At New World Papakura, our Online team plays a crucial role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience for customers who choose to shop from the comfort of their homes.

We are looking for two energetic, organised, and customer-focused Online Personal Shoppers to join our busy Online department. As part of the role you may be required to carry out deliveries, becoming the face of New World Papakura on the road.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Personal Shopper and Driver, you'll be responsible for carefully selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders to ensure every customer receives the same quality products they would choose themselves as well as ensuring customer orders arrive safely, accurately, and on time while providing exceptional service at every doorstep. Other responsibilities will include:

• Picking and packing customer orders with speed and accuracy whilst selecting the best quality products across all departments.
• Managing substitutions and communicating with customers where required.
• Ensuring orders are correctly labelled, checked, temperature monitored, and prepared for collection or delivery.
• Loading and unloading customer orders while maintaining product quality and temperature standards.
• Following delivery schedules and routes to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Conducting ID checks for restricted products when required.
• Supporting a fast-paced operation while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Helping create a seamless online shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.
• Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
