NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 4 Health Care Support Worker to join the Acute Physiotherapy Team in Elective Orthopaedics at Woodend Hospital. The role is 36 hours per week on a permanent basis, supporting and working with physiotherapists to deliver patient care.

The successful candidate will have several years of HCSW experience or hold SVQ Health Care qualification. Experience with exercise or orthopaedics is essential, with ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to support

Qualifications

• Several years' experience as an HCSW in a therapy team or ward setting.
• Experience or knowledge of exercise or Orthopaedics is essential.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients and multi-disciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Hold a delegated caseload of patients.
• Provide treatments and interventions within a defined framework.
• Work independently and as part of the Physiotherapy team; support discharge planning.
