Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley invites applications for a Permanent, Part Time Health Care Assistant on a 0.7–0.9 FTE basis at Wellington Hospital, Ward 6 North. You will support the nursing team with patient care, flow, and ward duties in a fast-paced orthopaedic and urology ward.

The role requires a warm, caring nature, and a willingness to learn; NZQA cert is preferred. A supportive team environment and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of providing patient care and support to the nursing team.
• Experience in healthcare is an advantage.
• Willingness to complete required certificates or training.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff with patient care and daily activities.
• Assist with patient flow and ward operations.
• Maintain a clean, well stocked clinical environment and equipment.
