Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for BAND 4 PHYSIOTHERAPY HCSW – Elective Orthopaedics at Woodend Hospital. This 36 HOURS/WEEK PERMANENT post supports the Acute Physiotherapy Team, delivering patient care within Elective Orthopaedics and holding a delegated caseload.

You will work with physiotherapists to provide treatments within a defined framework, assist with discharge planning and help patients regain safe, independent mobility. You may rotate to other Acute Sector specialties as needed.

Qualifications

• Several years' HCSW experience in a therapy team or ward setting.
• SVQ Health Care qualification or equivalent.
• Previous knowledge or experience of exercise or Orthopaedics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Hold a delegated caseload of patients and provide treatments within a defined framework.
• Work with a team of physiotherapists to deliver care in Elective Orthopaedics.
• Assist with discharge planning and promote safe, independent mobility.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team.
