Qualifications

• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Registered QPT/QMLT or able to obtain registration with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply the Privacy Act.
• Able to collect blood samples from adults, children and neonates.
• Able to perform IV cannulation as an extended scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection and IV cannulation across age groups.
• Work across Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park Collection Room Services.
• Rostered shifts across a 7 days per fortnight pattern; weekends and call-backs as required.
• Contribute to high-quality phlebotomy and patient care in a hospital setting.
