Parkview Pārua School in Christchurch is seeking a passionate kaiako for a fulltime fixed-term maternity cover starting 26 January 2027 and ending 14 December 2027. Beginning teachers are welcome to apply, with a collaborative, inclusive team and strong relationships with tamariki and whānau.

• Registered teacher with recognised qualifications (or eligible for provisional registration).
• Collaborative and approachable teaching style contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.
• Commitment to wellbeing of every child, building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive, inclusive teaching practice.
• Passion for high-quality teaching and learning for every learner, including support for diverse learning needs and neurodiverse learners.
• Knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices and innovative pedagogy promoting student agency, creativity and active learning.
• Sound curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and mathematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with partnerships with parents, whānau and community.
• Commitment to positive behaviour support, pastoral care, reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.
