We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established national pharmacy group seeking a Pharmacy Team Lead to join its busy Invercargill community pharmacy.

Newly graduated Pharmacists are also encouraged to apply, alongside experienced Pharmacists and those already working in leadership positions. Previous Pharmacy Manager experience is not essential — what matters most is your motivation, people skills and willingness to grow.

The Opportunity

This is a replacement position within a busy, high-performing community pharmacy with an established customer base and an exciting opportunity for its next chapter. As Pharmacy Team Lead, you'll play an important role in supporting the pharmacy team, developing people and helping create a positive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture. Initially, the role will involve approximately 80% dispensing and 20% leadership/management, with the opportunity for the leadership component to increase as the team continues to develop. You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the pharmacy while continuing to use your clinical skills and developing your leadership capability.

About the Role

As Pharmacy Team Lead, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring and developing your pharmacy team
• Supporting staff performance, development and regular reviews
• Building a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture
• Supporting pharmacy sales and business performance
• Managing both personal and pharmacy-wide KPIs
• Delivering safe and accurate dispensing services
• Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy legislation, professional standards and operating procedures
• Supporting health initiatives and preventative healthcare services
• Building strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals and the wider store leadership team
• Identifying opportunities to improve pharmacy services and patient care

The Team

You’ll be joining an established pharmacy team currently consisting of:

• 2 Pharmacists
• 2 Dispensing Technicians
• 1 Pharmacy Assistant

The pharmacy is continuing to build its permanent team, creating an exciting opportunity for the Pharmacy Team Lead to contribute to team development and future growth. You'll also have strong support from experienced pharmacy professionals and the wider leadership team.

A Busy Community Pharmacy

This is a high-volume pharmacy with strong prescription numbers and a loyal customer base.

Services currently include:

• Vaccinations
• Influenza vaccinations
• COVID-19 boosters
• Medicines Use Reviews
• Free blister packing
• Shingrix
• Priorix
• Gardasil 9
• Bexsero
• MenQuadfi

The pharmacy does not provide Methadone or Clozapine services. The local community includes a large Vietnamese population alongside English-speaking customers, so you'll be comfortable communicating with people from diverse backgrounds and using translation devices where required.

About You
