Job summary

Southern Cross Hamilton Hospital is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse leader to join our team as Associate Theatre Manager, a full-time role based in central Hamilton. You'll support day-to-day theatre operations, develop future leaders, and drive quality, safety and service delivery.

Working with an established leadership team, you’ll influence theatre culture, build relationships, and empower teams to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with APC and NZRN status.
• 3–5 years leadership experience in perioperative settings.
• Experience in Orthopaedic and/or Gynaecology is desirable.
• Strong operational and organisational skills with prioritisation ability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safe, high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
• Postgraduate study and PDRP Level 4 (or equivalent) desirable.
