Job summary

Southern Cross Hamilton Hospital is seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Team Leader to guide the perioperative anaesthetic team across multiple surgical specialties. This role combines hands-on clinical support with leadership to grow capability, improve service delivery, and foster a high-performing team culture.

You will work closely with the Theatre Services Manager to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a busy private hospital setting in Hamilton.

Qualifications

• Current NZ registration as an Anaesthetic Technician or RN with anaesthetic credentials.
• Minimum five years' experience as an AT or RNAA within an operating theatre.
• At least two years' experience in a senior, supervisory, or leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives.
