About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

As a People Solutions Advisor, you'll play a key role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new employees across the Co-op. Joining our Contracts and Onboarding portfolio, you'll take ownership of employment contracts and onboarding processes, ensuring every interaction is accurate, compliant and delivered with care.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume role where no two days are quite the same. You'll prepare employment agreements and associated documentation, maintain employee and organisational data, and work closely with leaders and new starters to ensure everything is in place for day one.

You'll be the go-to person for contract and onboarding queries, providing practical support by phone and email, resolving issues quickly and ensuring a great employee experience. With a strong eye for detail, you'll identify inconsistencies, manage risk and make sure documentation is right before it's issued.

Alongside the day-to-day, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, share your expertise with others and help shape a positive, high-performing service culture.

This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in contracts and onboarding while building your HR career within a supportive team, with exposure across the Co-op and clear development pathways into broader People Solutions roles.

You're a fast, responsive HR professional with 3-5 years' experience in an HR, People Solutions or Shared Services environment, and you thrive in a busy, service-focused role where accuracy, responsiveness and customer service matter.

You'll bring strong hands-on experience preparing employment contracts and associated documentation, along with a sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation. You're confident interpreting employment information, applying legislative requirements and using your judgement to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and ready to be issued.

You enjoy working at pace and can comfortably manage a high volume of work without compromising quality. With a sharp eye for detail, you naturally identify inconsistencies, ask questions when something doesn't look right and take pride in delivering accurate outcomes the first time.

You're also a confident communicator who enjoys working with people. Whether you're supporting a leader with a query, guiding a new starter through the onboarding process or picking up the phone to resolve an issue, you build trust through clear, practical advice and a positive, solutions-focused approach.

Most importantly, you're proactive, accountable and take ownership of delivering great outcomes. You look for opportunities to improve the way things are done and enjoy being part of a team that delivers a great experience for employees and leaders alike.

If you're someone who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in getting the details right and loves helping people navigate key moments in their employment journey, we'd love to hear from you.
