Job summary

Chemist Warehouse New Zealand is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to partner with leaders across stores, providing practical HR advice on employee relations, performance, and workplace investigations. You'll support managers and teams through the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases including performance management, investigations and disciplinary matters.
• Excellent written communication skills and experience preparing HR documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• HR qualification, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support employee relations matters.
• Coach and guide managers through performance, conduct and behavioural issues.
• Support workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and grievance resolution.
• Prepare and review HR documentation, letters and reports.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely follow-up on actions.
