Job summary

The Environmental Protection Authority in Wellington is seeking a People and Capability Coordinator. Based in our Wellington office, the role delivers high‑quality people services across the employment journey, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, learning and development, and health and safety.

You will work with a collaborative team to maintain systems, generate reports, and support projects that enhance capability and employee experience; remote work is limited, with a preference for

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, coordination, human resources, recruitment, payroll, learning and development, health and safety, or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with HRIS or payroll systems would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Support payroll administration and employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Produce reports and contribute to projects enhancing organisational capability.
