Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking a People Business Partner to collaborate with Village and Support Office leaders, delivering generalist People support and solutions across the employee lifecycle.

You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on guidance, build leadership capability, and drive outcomes in engagement, performance, and wellbeing across our NZ villages.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to join our collaborative and engaged team, partnering leaders within our Villages and Support Office as well as Executives. As an experienced and commercially minded Business Partner, you will operate across generalist People responsibilities, balancing strategic thinking with execution and hands-on support.

This role works closely with leaders to deliver practical and integrated people solutions, build leadership capability, and support strong people and business outcomes. You will provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including employment relations, remuneration and performance whilst driving people initiatives in the engagement, talent management and learning & capability space.

Key responsibilities will include:

Please note, there will be the requirement to have the flexibility to travel to Hamilton or BOP approx. two nights away per month.
