Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei is seeking an HR practitioner to join our Toi Tangata People & Performance team. You will support line managers, lead ER case management, and embed core P&P processes such as goal setting, salary reviews, and workforce planning in a fast-paced, kaupapa-driven environment.
You are culturally competent, warm, and calm, with a tertiary NZ HR or legal qualification and 2–3 years as an HRBP focusing on ER issues, policies, and performance improvement.
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei is a hapū of Ngāti Whātua. We live in and around the Tāmaki isthmus. We hold to our mana motuhake, our history, our culture, our identity, and our reo. Our whakapapa traces to Tuperiri and the hapū Ngā Oho, Te Taoū, and Te Uringutu.
We are tangata whenua in Tāmaki. Our authority over land and sea rests on take tupuna, take raupatu, ahi kā, and tuku whenua.
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust looks after the collective affairs of our hapū. We have more than 8,000 registered members across Aotearoa and overseas. Ōrākei Marae is our cultural hub.
Te Kahu Tōpuni o Tuperiri describes the protective reach of our ancestor across our rohe.
Our mahi is growing fast, and to deliver on some significant kaupapa ahead, we are strengthening our internal capability and capacity across our team.
Due to an internal promotion, our People & Performance function has a unique opportunity for a very grounded, ER capable, values‑driven HR practitioner to join our Toi Tangata People & Performance team.
If you are a culturally competent, warm and calm HR practitioner who is seeking meaningful mahi, enjoys working closely with people, and is looking to step away from a purely corporate environment into kaupapa driven work, we would love to hear from you.
