Comcare invites applications for a peer supporter role in Christchurch. You will use your lived experience of mental illness and/or addictions to support others, working in our Peer Support team on a 6-month fixed term contract (32-40hrs per week), based at Madras Street.

We are seeking a peer supporter with their own lived experience of mental illness and/or addictions to work in our Christchurch Peer Support team.

It is desirable that you have a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 – Peer Support Qualification (or similar) or are committed to studying towards one.

You will have a cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
