Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd is building a new peer-led community-based acute alternative to hospital in Auckland Central. You will support guests using recovery tools and peer competencies to foster resilience and wellbeing in a safe, recovery-focused environment.

You will work alongside a team of peers and clinical kaimahi, reporting to a Senior Peer Support Specialist, with monthly supervision and coaching to enhance practice.

Qualifications

• Must have completed recognised Peer Support training.
• Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or plan to commence training within three months.
• Able to speak about your lived experience and journey to wellbeing.
• Knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate peer support to guests staying as a community-based option to hospital.
• Uphold peer values and competencies in all aspects of practice.
• Support guests’ wellbeing, recovery and self-determination throughout their stay.
