Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Ltd is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage salary pay runs and related processes from our Dunedin hub. The role supports site and corporate employees, collaborating with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery.

You will handle payroll systems, act as a key contact for payroll queries, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing and system administration; PayGlobal experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and customer service focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
• Sound understanding of accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely salary pay runs and changes.
• Provide day-to-day support to site payroll coordinators and system users.
• Support PayGlobal administration and user access across tools.
• Deliver audit, reporting, and accounting tasks including reconciliations.
• Support payroll/HRIS development and improvement initiatives.
• Act as first point of contact for payroll queries and service delivery.
