Launch Recruitment in Queenstown, New Zealand is seeking a Payroll Engineer to join the Workforce Systems team. You will support, enhance and maintain HCM and payroll applications underpinning a large workforce environment.

Working within a product-led model, you will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure systems remain stable, secure and aligned to business priorities across the full service lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting HCM, HRIS and/or payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications and service management practices.
  • Experience with change, release, incident and problem management processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing configuration, operation and enhancement of HCM and payroll platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Coordinate incidents, changes and service delivery activities.
  • Support testing, releases, cutovers and service transition activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation, procedures, reporting and knowledge articles.
  • Support compliance, security, audit and governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, standardisation and supportability.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners.

We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to recruit a Payroll Engineer to join their Workforce Systems team. Reporting to the Head of Workforce Systems, you'll play a key role in supporting, enhancing and maintaining critical HCM and payroll applications that underpin a large and complex workforce environment.

Operating within a product-led technology model, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and strategic partners to ensure workforce systems remain stable, secure and aligned to business priorities. You'll contribute across the full service lifecycle, including configuration, operations, support, change, release management and continuous improvement initiatives.
