Job summary

ATNZ, a leader in work-based training and apprenticeships in New Zealand, is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join our Head Office team in Auckland. You'll administer our weekly apprentice payroll and support apprentices, host companies and internal stakeholders.

This role demands accuracy, excellent customer service and a proactive approach. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure payroll data integrity and compliance, with opportunities to contribute to improvements and training on

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' payroll or administration experience.
• Knowledge of NZ payroll and employment legislation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Excel and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Manage payroll data, reporting and audits.
• Respond to payroll and timesheet enquiries.
• Process pay adjustments, reimbursements and leave transactions.
• Support apprentice completions and terminations.
• Provide support and training on TimeFiler.
• Ensure compliance with payroll and employment legislation.
• Contribute to process improvements and projects.

Payroll Advisor

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Payroll Advisor to join our Head Office team in Auckland.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for administering our weekly apprentice payroll and providing outstanding support to apprentices, host companies and internal stakeholders.

This is a varied role where accuracy, attention to detail and excellent customer service are essential.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing weekly payroll accurately and on time


• Managing payroll data, reporting and audits


• Responding to payroll and timesheet enquiries


• Processing pay adjustments, reimbursements and leave transactions


• Supporting apprentice completions and terminations


• Providing support and training on TimeFiler


• Ensuring compliance with payroll and employment legislation


• Contributing to process improvements and projects

What You'll Bring
