Job summary

Health New Zealand is seeking Call Centre Operators to join the Patient Administration Service, handling incoming calls, patient inquiries and related admin tasks. You will support rosters, duress alarms, and paging while working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

The role operates on a rostered and rotating basis across Wellington and Hutt Valley sites, with a salary band of NZD$67,943–$77,141 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a call centre environment with 24/7 cover rostering and rotating shifts.
• Ability to maintain patient and office confidentiality in line with privacy requirements.
• Good computer skills and strong verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming calls, patient enquiries, paging and duress alarms.
• Assist with Doctors rosters, swipe cards and other technical enquiries as needed.
• Work with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Support day-to-day administration tasks within the Patient Administration Service.
