Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Tauranga is seeking a full-time, permanent Quality Coordinator to support the Health Quality & Safety Service. The role focuses on incident investigation, complaint resolution and stakeholder communication, with opportunities to deepen quality expertise.

You would work within a team of clinical and non-clinical staff, building relationships, applying a solution-focused approach, and contributing to governance and risk mitigation in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare related field.
• Knowledge of quality, risk and safety systems, including incident management.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and challenge the status quo respectfully.
• Excellent written reports and ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HQSS activities such as incident investigation and complaint resolution.
• Communicate with staff, consumers and whānau to support quality and safety.
• Support risk governance and clinical governance processes.
